Spirit of Harmony and Beauty of Nature: A Tour of Kyoto’s Temple, Tea Ceremony, and Aquarium

4 hours-¥3,000 / per person
Experience the elegance of an ancient temple, the spirituality of the tea ceremony, and the vibrant energy of an engaging aquarium
This tour offers the opportunity to explore the area around Kyoto Station, allowing you to deeply experience Kyoto's rich nature, exquisite history, and enduring traditions in just half a day.
We begin our exploration with one of Kyoto's most impressive temples, Toji. Founded in the early Heian period (794-1192), this temple features a magnificent five-story pagoda that towers toward the sky and is designated as a national treasure. The stunning collection of Buddha statues and the temple complex captivate visitors with their beauty. Next, you will have the opportunity to experience a tea ceremony at the serene Ozawa Seifuen. Enjoying a cup of tea in this tranquil setting will provide a moment of calm and a deeper appreciation for the richness of Japanese culture.
With the essence of the tea ceremony still in your heart, our next stop is the KYOTO AQUARIUM. Here, you can observe a variety of creatures nurtured by the waters of Kyoto up close. Don’t miss the exhibit featuring the Japanese giant salamander, designated as a national special natural monument. Additionally, you will be able to observe a large tank that replicates Kyoto's marine environment and the immersive jellyfish tank, ‘GURURI,’ offering unique encounters with a diverse range of marine life.
Throughout this tour, immerse yourself in the captivating blend of Kyoto's nature, history, and traditions, creating unforgettable memories in a single day.
KYOTO AQUARIUM

The KYOTO AQUARIUM is operated under the theme of coexistence of life created by the blessings of Kyoto's nature and water, and allows visitors to observe a wide variety of creatures living in Kyoto's sea and rivers. Particularly noteworthy is the Japanese giant salamander, a national Special Natural Monument also known as a “living fossil” and “one of the largest amphibians in the world”. At the KYOTO AQUARIUM, visitors can closely observe the life and habits of these rare and mysterious creatures.
Furthermore, there is an area to observe sea creatures, including a large aquarium that recreates the sea of Kyoto where about 50 species of creatures are displayed, a 360-degree panoramic aquarium called “GURURI” where visitors can observe numerous water jellyfish, and a dolphin stadium with an open 180-degree panoramic view, allowing for many encounters in unique aquariums.
