Experience Temples, Nature, and Culture: A Half-Day Guided Tour Around Kyoto Station

4 hours-¥6,000 / per person(for 4 participants)
Enjoy Temples, Nature, and Craft Experiences—A Delightful Half-Day in Kyoto!
In this tour around Kyoto Station, you will explore historical and natural attractions with an English-speaking guide. Your first stop is Toji Temple, renowned for its architectural beauty from the Heian period and designated as a national treasure. The famous five-story pagoda is known as the tallest wooden structure in Japan, creating a space that evokes Kyoto's rich historical background alongside its magnificent Buddha statues. The gardens and the Mandala Hall also invite moments of tranquility, allowing you to find peace in this serene setting.
Next, at the Kyoto Aquarium, you will learn about the diversity of life nurtured by Kyoto's natural environment and water resources. Don't miss the exhibit featuring the Japanese giant salamander, designated as a national special natural monument. Additionally, you will be able to observe a large tank that replicates Kyoto's marine ecosystem and the immersive jellyfish tank, "GURURI," where a variety of fascinating creatures await you.
At the final stop of the tour, you will visit "Akane-ya," where you can experience painting your own folding fans and wind chimes. Participants will unleash their creativity to craft one-of-a-kind pieces, which can be taken home as wonderful souvenirs to remember your journey.
KYOTO AQUARIUM

The KYOTO AQUARIUM is operated under the theme of coexistence of life created by the blessings of Kyoto's nature and water, and allows visitors to observe a wide variety of creatures living in Kyoto's sea and rivers. Particularly noteworthy is the Japanese giant salamander, a national Special Natural Monument also known as a “living fossil” and “one of the largest amphibians in the world”. At the KYOTO AQUARIUM, visitors can closely observe the life and habits of these rare and mysterious creatures.
Furthermore, there is an area to observe sea creatures, including a large aquarium that recreates the sea of Kyoto where about 50 species of creatures are displayed, a 360-degree panoramic aquarium called “GURURI” where visitors can observe numerous water jellyfish, and a dolphin stadium with an open 180-degree panoramic view, allowing for many encounters in unique aquariums.
